So I never..
made it into the city today
We got on the 11:43 train from Ronkonkoma..there were military men everywhere..which I expected considering whats going on in london...
Right before we stopped at Jamaica station, the lady made an announcement saying our train was being terminated and EVERYONE had to EVACUATE!!! She said this was due to a suspicious package and police activity @ Penn Station... NOTHING would be going WEST until further notice..
I looked at DH like OMG WHAT IS HAPPENING...(i think he was just as scared as me)
So everyone on our train and few other were all stuck at jamaica station until trains heading east began running....
It wasnt that long of a wait...maybe a half an hour... there were still no trains or subways going west when we left..
We never made into the show (therefore we lost the 200+ bucks from the tickets  ) do you think we could get a refund or exchange????
I was watching TV b4 I saw a commercial for the news..and it was a clip of them arresting a man..and it said he single handedly closed down PENN...so Im guessing we'll get the story tonight!

There was no subway service either? I would have taken a cab from Jamacia to the city.

I actually didnt even think of a cab...I was so freaked out...I didnt want to go somewhere and put myself in a situation that might of been dangerous though...

Yeah i hear that. I guess thats just the "city guy" in me coming out.

easy to sit back and say that now.
I would have freaked out and went home too.
Call the theatre tomorrow and see if you can get a rain check.

The guy threw a bag at a train worker and said there was a bomb in it. Turns out no bomb, but I have no idea if he was arrested or not.

On Tv they had some guy in cuffs... so im guessing he was arrested..???
