Re: have you flown pregnant? would you?

I think you will be fine! It is a short flight and this will be your last chance to live it up!!! But just remember It is super hot in Nashville and buy lots of water!

Also I think your boss's story is a one off. I am mad he/she scared you like that. This person must have had complications not from flying but from something else.

Ps I flew at 4 weeks and am flying again at 12 weeks, 18 weeks and 24 weeks!!!!

Re: have you flown pregnant? would you?

I flew almost weekly my entire pregnancy. Doc was totally ok with it, just needed to get up and walk every hour. I flew until 32 weeks. If I were you, I'd go and enjoy!

Re: have you flown pregnant? would you?

With my first pregnancy, I flew to CA at 9-10 weeks pregnant. We had at least 1 layover during the trip because there weren't direct flights from where we left and were going. Other than being more prone to motion sickness, it was fine. The motion sickness factor would be the only reason I wouldn't want to fly while pregnant again. I remember feeling pretty awful on one of the flights.

I have several friends who are/have flown in the first and second trimesters with no issues. SIL flew to CA for her brother's wedding at 34 weeks. She had a very easy pregnancy and was totally fine.

I flew from NY to Ireland with my 1st pg when I was 32 weeks and I had no problems. We were living in Ireland at the time and I flew around Europe from the beginning (found out I was pg in Germany) all the way until I was 32 weeks. No problems at all. Like the other girls said, stay hydrated and walk around alot.

I just flew to the carribean at 31 weeks, the week before when I was 30 weeks flew to NYC from Atlanta. Both trips I was completely fine. I had no adverse reaction to the trip, not even any swelling. With my first DD, I had to fly from Atlanta to NYC every 4 weeks until I was 33 weeks, I also had zero complications!

I wouldn't miss this trip, go and have an amazing time!

I did with no problems or issues in my first pregnancy. I was 27 weeks and DH and I went to the Bahamas for 5 days! My OB said as long as I flew before 30 weeks.

With pregnancies #2 and #3, I probably wouldn't have flown that late, for my own sanity. I would probably have flown up to 20 weeks.

Re: have you flown pregnant? would you?

I flew multiple times during my pregnancy - about 6 weeks, 20 weeks, 32 weeks, 34 weeks, etc. I flew from London to New YOrk (7+hours) most of those times, from London to Spain (2 hours) and from London to South AFrica (10+hours). I was fine. My son is 2.5, and he's perfect, plus he's a brilliant flyer! Chat Icon Coincidence?? Chat Icon Seriously, you're fine!
