helix lateral elliptical machine?

Anyone try it? My gym just got it and I tried it today. But now I'm feeling guilty. My OB said elliptical was fine, but this is lateral - totally different movement - do you think its OK? I'm seeing my OB on Monday, but I'm sure he's never even heard of this machine. Its an insanely hard machine to do, but I don't think it had impact. Just curious if anyone else has done it or asked their dr's about it.

Definitely ask your doctor, but I think as long as you don't overdo it and get your heart rate too high it shouldn't be a problem.

Thank you for contacting us. Although we are not an elliptical, we would follow the same safety and health guidelines. We do have heart rate sensors, so that you may monitor your beats per minute (bpm). If you are cleared to exercise by your doctor, we are 100% confident you are clear to use the Helix.

Pretty cool that they got back to me so quickly. Its pretty much what I thought, and still will ask my OB, but I used it again today (and then ate pizza and chocolate cake ). Highly recommend this machine if anyone's gym has it - its a good workout!

That was really good of them to write back and answer your question. Good for you for getting to the gym! I haven't had to energy to workout in over a month
