Prenatal massage
Does anyone know of places that have prenatal massages that do NOT need a drs note. My SIL said her dr will not give her a note. I feel awful!

Re: Prenatal massage
I didn't need one at Babylon Wellness Center. Their website says to check with your dr., but they never asked for an actual note...

Re: Prenatal massage
Is there a specific reason her dr. won't give her one, or will they just not right them in general?

Re: Prenatal massage
I go to Massage Envy...no problems at all, just had to sign a form saying I understood risks of getting a massage when pregnant.

I had a GC for massage envy & had made an appt in Rocky Point. They told me I needed a dr note and my dr wouldn't give me one b/c he said it could cause pre-term labor and thy don't condone them with notes. Massage Envy told me that they would have to charge me a cancellation fee if the timeslot didn't rebook b/c my appt with the dr was the same day as the massage. It cost me $25 and I didn't even get the massage :(

Oh no! Everything I've seen and read says massage is OK and my Dr is fine with it. It has really helped with lower back pain. My massage therapist was certified in prenatal and was so gentle. I'm sorry you couldn't get yours.
