Due date changing, ect?

Did anyones due date change towards the end?

With my first DS mine changed by about a week.

I'm just annoyed because my doctor gave me an early growth sono (because i was complaining of pain), and i forgot to ask the tech about the due date....but i assumed i'd get another growth sono until the doctor recently told me that they only do one growth sono!!! HOWEVER, i forgot to mention to the doctor that at my early growth sono the baby was breech...If the baby is breech, don't you have to get another sono to make sure the baby flipped? I guess i'll just ask at my next app't. Plus i want my due date confirmed..because i really want to stop working 2 full weeks before due date to spend some time with DS before the new baby comes.

My due date didn't change but due to size, GD , BP and other issues I was induced at 38 weeks.

As for the breech, they can usually tell that by feeling your belly for the position of the baby.

Oh, that's good to know....I have an app't on wednesday, so i'm going to have them check it out, if possible.

Re: Due date changing, ect?

Not sure but just remember that due dates are not usually accurate. So even if they do change it you could still go 2 wks early or 2 wks late. My Dr never officially changed mine even though at one point the baby was measuring a little off. She said that she doesn't even like to give due dates since women tend to freak the minute they go one day past. She told me may 14th and said just figure the middle of May sometime. May 14th is actually the date I go based on my LMS anyway. I would just stick with whatever they have given you so far or what you have calculated.

They will due an U/S once you are in labor on arrival if they have any questions about positioning of the baby. Usually they can tell at that time between manual exams/internals. Also usually your "due date" doesn't change dramatically towards the end unless you had absolutely no idea based on your LMP from the beginning. Baby measuring big or small doesn't affect your "due date". HTH!
