how do you organize your make-up?
and where do you keep it?
We got new bedroom furniture and I want to keep my makeup in the top drawer of my dresser. Its a large, fairly deep drawer. I have tons of eyeshadows & eyeliners, not that I use it all but I want it to be accessible. I have an idea in my mind of some sort of trays with compartments that would allow me to see what I have without it sliding around in the drawer. Am I nuts or does anyone know what I mean? I can't even think of where I would find something like this though. I saw fabric covered trays in TXmaxx but the compartments were more for jewelry.

Hmmm maybe you could use one of those silverware sorting things? Or a few of them, rather. I'd also check out pinterest. Search for "make-up organization" I bet you'll come up with some stuff.
ETA: Definitely pinterest. I did a quick search and came up with a few ideas.

Re: how do you organize your make-up?
I just want to add something I learned the hard way.
Be careful with your new furniture and your make-up. Things like face lotion can totally remove the finish on your wood furniture - I have like 4 decent sized spots where its worn down to the bare wood. I think its the alpha-hydrox type of stuff, but other lotions, etc. can also do damage.
I have taken to keeping a fabric placemat on my dresser, this way any makeup/hairspray/perfume/lotion that drips, sprays mists hits this and doesn't do further damage. It's easy to remove and wash and when I am having company over or just want it to look nice, I just take it off.
