How much are new born pictures?

I want new born pictures but I do not know the going rate and whats considered expensive. I was wondering if any of you would like to share how much (could be a range) you were quoted or paid for your new born shoot.

Also did your photographer go on location (your house) or did you go to them?

I am going to be using Jennie Ann photography, previously known as Elle Bebe. I had emailed a bunch of photograhers and I found her to be the most reasonable while still having amazing photos. She comes to your house with all her props.

I have found them to range from $350-$500

It all depends on the photographer... There are high end photographers who charge up to $1000-$1500! which is nuts in my opinion! LOL

Usually theres a fee for the photo session, usually like $200 or $300. Some photographers ONLY come to your house and others have their own locations OR will travel to your house... Again it depends on the photographer...

Then theres the fee for prints and/or JPEGs of the session on a CD... Plus you want to make sure your photographer gives you the print release... Most people like to just buy the CD of photos and then they take it wherever they want for prints...

I'm OOS so it's a bit cheaper. I wish Oregon had some of the talent that the LIF's ladies have! Some do but they want approx $3500.00 for a session, some prints and the rights on CD. Crazy.

We decided on a woman who we used for our family portraits (she took my profile pic) and she is charging us $150 to come to the house and the CD.

My friend is also taking them for free. He happens to be very good. I'm just going to have to provide the props.

when I did mine back in the day I used Summer, she wasn't as expensive as she is now. My friend just paid about $500, the photographer came to her, and she got a disc, prints and a mini album.

idk if she's raised her prices but Peahead Prints has a session fee of 150, and you have to buy 150 or product so basically 300.
She has a home studio, and she might do on location but I'm not sure.

I can recommend this photographer...I went to HS with her and have bought gift certif's for friends for her services. She's reasonable and on LI. Her newborn package starts around 375 I think.

I totally agree! And the photos are gorgeous! I may be biased though, because the baby is my Godson
