I Know I am may seem like a wuss
but I just started my injections of Gonal F and repronex last night. Is it typical to have the injection area be red and blotchy and sore the following day. Tonight I'll switch sides. When I took ovidrel the injections never bothered me so I was surprised to have this type of a reaction. I know, I know, I'm such a newbie at this you BTDT's are free to give me an  but I just want to make sure I am not having some weird reaction.

Hm...I never got any reaction to Gonal at all. Mine never got red or splotchy, especially not the next day. Did you ice it beforehand? If so, maybe you over iced it? Is it itchy? If it's itchy it may be an allergic reaction and I'd check with your dr.

I haven't had any problems with Gonal-F. I have had some injection site tenderness with Menopur though.
As NYCgirl mentioned, what you're describing might be an ice burn if you're icing (I ended up in the ER on Saturday night with an ice burn).

ita..i have used gonal for a while and its one i never had a reaction from

I did get that once. But only once which was odd. The next am it was red and blotchy and itchy. But it went away quickly.
