How many follies did you have after 4 nights of stims?

I just had a sonogram. Tonight will be my 5th night of stims and they only saw 2 follies on the left and 2 on the right. That sounds very low to me at this point. How many did you ladies have at 4 days in? I am feeling very discouraged right now.

is this for injectables and IUI or for IVF? i am doing injectables and IUI this cycle and after 2 nights on meds i had only one on each side....after 5 nights on meds i had a few more on each side but they were a lot smaller...i am scheduled for the IUI's on thursday and friday and am interested to see if the small ones caught up. Did your MD say everything was going well? i wouldn't be alarmed unless MD was concerned. Good luck!

i went in after 3 days and there was absolutely nothing going on. my e2 was very low. if you were suppressed with BCP it can sometimes take an extra few days to develop follies. for me BCP always hyper-suppressed me and i needed a few extra days before all the follies would pop. im sure you'll be fine!!

Thanks so much for responding. I'm at work and cannot concentrate. I wasn't on BCP prior to starting injectables, but I am on Estradiol patch. This is an IVF cycle (IUI isn't an option due to male factor).

I haven't heard from the office yet and am anxiously awaiting today's phone call. My FSH is borderline (barely below 10), so the low # of follicles is really freaking me out today.

It's still SO early. Most REs won't be able to tell you anything at this point!

At this time during my IVF cycle, I just had small ones, nothing measurable, and only a few. After 8 days of stims I got 15 eggs, 10 of which were mature.

Don't worry so much yet. You have plenty of time!

i posted something similar the other day. I am a slow responder and a poor producer. With that said, we are all different and respond differently, so just try to remember that.

After 4 nights of stims we saw lots of follies but they were too small to be measured. two days later I only had 4 measurable. Now, 11 nights of stimming and I have 15 follicles! I should have ER on Friday.

Once again, I truly appreciate the replies. There's just something about talking to other women going through this emotional process that is soothing.

I just received the call about tonight's meds. To my surprise, they didn't increase anything. I was convinced I'd be instructed to up my dosage.

I am usually so level-headed; I feel like I'm panic-stricken by every little thing associated with the cycle, and these aren't feelings to which I am accustomed.

I also had my appointment today after starting stims on Saturday 3/17, so this is day 4. I had 7 follies on the right and 7 on the left. They were all pretty small at around 7-9mm. Per my nurse - everyone responds differently and some people don't start to repsond till a little later during stims, that is usually why they change the meds sometimes frequently. If you are concern, I would definately call and ask to speak to someone.
I was on birth control prior to starting - last pill was on 3/12
Period started on 3/15
First Us and bloodwork on 3/17 - estrogen 16
stims started Saturday evening - took gonal f 450Iu
currently on Gonal F 225Iu twice a day
-I have to call in after 5pm to see what I am to take for now on or if there are any changes to my regimen
-I have a follow up US and bloodwork on 3/22 (thursday)

If you need to, call them. I know how I am and sometimes you just need reassurance from them so that you do not freak yourself out. Honestly, everyone responds differently and it is still early in the process. Postive thoughts only
