Pulling pain due to coughing on one side...happen to anybody else?
I swear, if this cough does NOT go away in 9 days for my sked c-section, I don't know what I'll do. I know have a pulling pain in one side whenever I cough. I have an appointment on Monday, but this ever happen to anybody else?
I'm extremely concerned that having a cough after a c-section would be even worse (this is my 2nd c so I am familiar)
GRRR, I swear when I smoke and don't take vitamins I AM HEALTHIER!!!!! GRRR
Sorry annoyed mama to be here with 9 days left....

Re: Pulling pain due to coughing on one side...happen to anybody else?
About a month or two ago I had a cough and when I coughed I'd get a horrible pain in my lower stomach on one side. The midwife said that it was my uterus stretching and totally normal. I had a c-section with DS and coughed once or twice while still in the hospital and it was the worst. I HOPE that your cough goes away. Is it a mucousy cough? You can take PLAIN Robotussin to try and break up the mucous.

Sounds like round liagement pain. I get it sometimes when I cough, sometimes when I bend or roll.

Re: Pulling pain due to coughing on one side...happen to anybody else?
Are you sick or are you just having a cough???
I had a horrendous cough, cold, and post nasal drip for the 2 weeks before I delivered and while I delivered.
I rested as much as I could, I was put on an antibiotic for my tonsilitis. I also did everything I could for my cough because I did not want to deliver with it (it was non stop and I pulled muscles in my side). I was a VBAC and could have ended up with a c-section.
Here's what I did, and it did help. - Antibiotic for tonislitis - Neti-Pod and Saline spray for my post nasal drip (which caused most of the coughing) - Robitussin for cough - Cough drops to keep throat smooth (and trying not to cough as much as I could deal) - Salt water rinse twice a day - Hot steamy shower twice a day to try to clear mucous - If I drank hot tea, I would have done that - Tons and tons of water. They said best way to flush stuff out of my system. - Slept sitting up. I couldn't even lay down, and found the cough got worse when I did. The more I coughed the worse I got, so I just kept trying to rest my throat.
If I think of anything else I'll post it.
