we just lost this cycle - UPDATE at bottom

I'm supposed to start stims tomorrow. There was some confusion on our part and the Rx wasn't called in to Kraupners until today. We just found out that insurance will only cover the meds through mail-order. My RE is closed already and there is no way the meds will arrive by tomorrow evening if they're ordered tomorrow. I'm truly beside myself. Waiting another month because of this insurance nonsense is killing me. At my age, every moment makes a difference. I asked about paying OOP for a few days worth of stims, but the cost is astronomical.

Sorry to hear about what you are going through Is it possible to start your meds Saturday morning so your cycle could be saved?

have you tried asking on this site if any of the girls have any leftovers med they are willing to share? Everyone here is so helpful. Maybe someone has an extra they are not using

When I spoke with the IVF nurse earlier today, she told me I HAD to start stims tomorrow or we'd have to wait until next month (that was before DH and I found out about the ins. issue)

We're trying to get them to authorize meds for one day. I cannot lose the entire month. We should know if they're giving us Friday's dose by morning.

I hadn't even thought to ask on here. Thanks for the idea.

Def ask here to see is anyone has any leftover meds...everyone here is super generous and it would suck to lose an entire cycle for a couple of days...I would post the meds that you would need and see...cant hurt to ask...good luck!!!

I need 3 Menopur and 3 Bravelle, and a syringe, water.

I just got off the phone with Freedom and they're, hopefully, letting us go to Kraupner's tomorrow to pick up Friday's dosage. Keep your fingers and toes crossed.

They also told me that there's a nationwide backorder on Ganilrelix (antagon), so I'm not sure what this means for my cycle. It's so frustrating that this is all happening when I can't call my RE's office because it's so late.

I cannot thank all of you enough! I'm waiting to hear back about getting today's dose from Kraupner's. If it doesn't happen, or if tomorrow's meds don't get to us in time, I will definitely take you up on your offers. We're in Brooklyn, but I will drive to Montauk if need be to pick up from those who offered.

Definitely ask your RE, too. I had a problem in my cycle with DD where I ran out a day early and had nothing left. I called the RE freaking out and one of the nurses actually let me come to her HOUSE to pick up some. Many people donate unused meds back to the docs office to be given to others.

What insanity! Freedom still hasn't sent the order to Kraupners. Insurance won't pay for Bravelle, so now I have to use Gonal-F instead. At this moment, I don't have any meds in my posession. I just sent DH running to RE to pick up emergency supply, which will likely be Bravelle and Menopur even though I will be using the gonal. I hate needles and, because of the change in meds, it's now 2 injections instead of one.

Ok, I'm done whining. I'm just praying we get all of our meds and the stimming begins tonight. Sheesh!

Do you have enough Gonal F to last you until your shipment comes in? I have extra if you need. i had the same issue at the beginning of this cycle and a wonderful person (2Birdsofafeather) donated Gonal to me so now i have extra.

Thanks so much! DH just picked up Gonal and Menopur from my RE. We still haven't heard back from Freedom, so I'm confused about delivery. If we can't have meds by Sunday, I will definitely FM you. DH said they gave us a 3 day supply.
