Anyone ever make the Magnolia Bakery's Vanilla Birthday Recipe?
I was planning to make it tomorrow for my DD B-Day cake, but figured I'd ask here, to see if anyone ever made it.

LOL...I've never had the real thing, but hear it's good....that's why I found the recipe. I needed a vanilla recipe for the birthday cake and came across it

Not gonna lie, Magnolia cupcakes are awesome. They are my faves. I really don't like Crumbs at all.

Um do you have the recipe? They sound great!! DD#2 had a child bring magnolia cupcakes to her 2 year preschool class for their 3rd birthday yesterday. She said they were the best cupcakes ever.

I use the Magnolia's vanilla recipe for all of the vanilla cupcakes I make. They are delicious and really easy to make. I assume the birthday recipe is the same as the recipe for vanilla cupcakes.

It's the same recipe. The cake came out very good....HOWEVER, I didn't have 3 9" pans, so I had to use 2 10.5" pans & I think I cooked it a little too long. It didn't burn, but it wasn't light & fluffy. BUT very tasty, especially with homemade vanilla buttercream frosting I made with it.
I want to make them as cupcakes next time
