Gigantic blinds
I have a slider door, I think it's like 8 feet long and also a huge window in my bedroom that I think is called a bay window. It's one big piece of glass that doesn't open and then two windows attached to each side that do open.
This is a new house so I have to get some sort of treatment for them. I think I remember seeing someone here who had a big bamboo looking roll down blind. I liked that for the den.
I don't really want drapes or curtains. I want privacy but don't know what to get and nothing I have seen online is right.
Does anyone have suggestions? Links?
Thanks!

Re: Gigantic blinds
you can find the big rolled up bamboo thing you are thinking of at Home Depot...
but i would suggest, if you dont want curtains... what about mini blinds? or wood blinds? you can do each of the 3 windows separately..
for the slider, i would do vertical blinds..

Re: Gigantic blinds
For our bay windows, I put up 3 separate blinds, one for each window of the bay.
For the slider, most people use vertical blinds. That way, you can open the blinds just enough to use the sliding door, or even leave the blinds in-place, and just walk through them. Vertical blinds are sold all over the place. HD, Lowes, Sears, window stores, Walmart, etc, etc.

Re: Gigantic blinds
Oh I like doing blinds in the three different sections, that way I can match it to the other single window.
For the slider I don't love those long vertical blinds. I feel like it doesn't go with the look in my den, plus I have 2 single windows on the sides of the slider so I have to find something that is similar for all 3.
Also my slider and windows have those grids in them, like a checkboard...DH wanted that look. So I'd like something simple.

Re: Gigantic blinds
We have 3 separate wood blinds up in our bay window. And as of right now, we have nothing on our sliders. I don't like the verticals either. I was thinking of putting up curtains just for privacy at night, but I haven't gotten around to picking anything out yet.
