Woke up Choking Last Night
So last night I woke up choking on my saliva and was gasping for air for a few minutes. It was scary and I havent had that happen in a long time. I got nervous and googled it and it seems pretty common during pregnancy.
Im just worried if I did any harm to the baby since I was gasping for air for a few min? What do you think ?

 That must have been scary. But I'm sure LO is perfectly fine. I think you would have to go awhile without oxygen before it could hurt the baby.

Ugh - that must have been scary. I'm glad that you're ok. Like the pp's said, I'm sure that your LO is fine. You woke up before you went without oxygen & even though you were gasping, you were still getting it. I have asthma & was told by my docs that it's prolonged deprivation/struggling for air that's the problem (like hours), so I'm sure a few min. is ok

Crashing to give hugs This happene dto me a lot during pg. You and the baby are fine. It could be heartburn. That was my issue and once I started a higher does of Prilosec I stopped doing this.

Ughh, this happens to me sometimes. For me, it's acid reflux which sometimes makes its way all the way up and I wake up choking. It takes a while to feel normal again and it's miserable. I plan to ask my dr. if there's anything stronger I can take than pepcid bc I can't stand going through that!

I had this a lot in my third trimester with DS. I had it once so far this pregnancy. It is so scary.
