Help me with my herbs please...
I am about to attempt planting parsley, basil, and cilantro. This will be the 3rd year I am trying.
Last 2 times I started them indoors and they sprouted well but then started to wilt and eventually die. I figure this year I will do it outside in pots hoping for a better result.
Any tips for a prosperous crop? Is full sun best?

Re: Help me with my herbs please...
Hi Jess This will by my 3rd year doing a garden and I plant everything in the ground. I don't start them as seedlings but I buy them as tiny little plants. I always do basil, cilantro, parsley and thyme and plant them in full sun and water every day and they get tremendous especially basil. If you were to do pots just make sure they have drainage holes and they should be fine.

Agree with above poster, don't start from seeds. Our season in the northeast isn't long enough to wait it out for a decent crop. Also still a little early for planting herbs outdoors.

I always start with little seedlings, instead of planting from seed.
The ony thing I've been sucessful in planting from seed with was string beans.
