traveling in the 1st trimester
As far as I know this is safe. My dr told me that if I want to do any trips I should make sure I go before the end of August but not to travel after that so I assumed the first trimester was safe to fly. However, I have an upcoming trip later this month and both my mother and my MIL said something about it not being safe to fly in the first trimester. Is this true?

If you are not high-risk, it is totally safe to fly / travel in the 1st trimester!!

I flew all the time in the first trimester -- almost weekly. My doc said it was fine up until 32 weeks.

Re: traveling in the 1st trimester
It's safe to fly during the first trimester. With my first pregnancy, I flew to CA at 9-10 weeks pregnant. I just made sure to stay hydrated and walked around every hour or so. I was more prone to motion sickness during the flights, but other than that, everything was fine.
