Anyone's DH have a job that they can hardly take anytime off after baby?
My DH only took off two days when I had DS, but we lived in an apartment at the time in my In-laws house. SO I had lots of help.
Again DH will only be taking off tops 3 days, if I'm lucky. So 2 of those days are when I'm in the hospital, so I'm on my own. This time I have a 3 year old to take care of as well. I would give anything for DH to stay home a week with me, but it's not going to happen. So, I'm freakin out about it. I will be calling my MIL and Mom alot that first week.
Anyone else?

Im terrified! dd will be 2yrs 8months DH has only been at his job for 2 months so he will probably only get off the first couple of days while Im in the hospital too and here's the big kicker we just moved out of state so I will have NO ONE that I can call to come help! My mom cant get here for a month (she has her dream vacation that they planned 2 yrs ago) and my MIL will not fly I think my SIL is going to try and come up for the first week but even still...its not DH
WE CAN DO THIS! That's what I keep telling myself 6 more weeks to go~

Yes and I'm looking into having someone come help out for a few weeks while I recover from the csection. I didn't with my others, but now I have a 3 yo and 1 yo.

DH just started a new job so he wont be taking any time off at all. Thankfully my Mom will be staying with me so I'm ok with it. If I were in it alone, Id be upset.
Can your Mom stay with you?

Yup. My DH will probably only be able to take off a few days due to some issues at work. I'll also have an (almost) three year old, and I'm having a c section. I'm freaked out, but thankfully, my mom is close by and is able to take time off work to help me. It's so disappointing though that DH can't stay home longer.

My DH will be back to work as soon as I arrive home from the hospital. We will have a 18 month old too but I can't complain. We have a nanny from 7am-5pm M-F and will have a baby nurse 24/7 for a week when I return home. Even with the help I am nervous.

Re: Anyone's DH have a job that they can hardly take anytime off after baby?
With my first child DH went back to work the following monday - I came home on a friday - it was just luck....as if I came home any other day of the week he would have been back to work the next day. The same with DS he was back to work the day after I got home from the hospital...to be honest I managed....DD was 3 and it was the summer so I sat in the shade nursing DS and she played.
Now that I am expecting #3 I am putting my foot down and I want a week from him this time around as there will be school runs to be done etc etc.
I have NO other help from anyone.

With DC#1 I was induced so it happened to be during Tax Season and DH is an accountant, he was ther efor the birth, but then had to go back to wrk, came during lunch and then went back to work. He didnt take off until DS was almost 2 months old, so I was on my own. I actually liked it bc I got into my own routine.

I wouldn't ask her to stay with me. My Mom and MIL live close by and are both retired. I know they will come help but not all the time. I will be by myself alot. Thank goodness DH doesn't work really late. My DS has been really difficult lately and doesn't nap everyday, so I'm very worried about that.
