Puerto Rico Restaurants
DH and I are going the end of june...What should we do and where should we go to eat...We are staying at the el san juan but dont want to eat at the chain restaurants that are in the hotel every night....Recco for b,l,&d either in isla verde or old san juan

I just got back from PR. Marmalade in Old San Juan was amazing!! We also ate at BLT and il mulino in the ritz and Parrot Club (for apps), Dragonfly (dinner), and al dente (dessert) in OSJ. All were good!

Marmalade= phenomenal! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! I also recommended it to several (different) friends, who raved about it as well. IMO its a MUST in San Juan.

For something different, I also recommend http://www.sanjuanfoodtours.com/. I did this walking historical food tour and it was great!

We ate there and had 2 dishes with hairs in them! I posted this in a review on TripAdvisor and the owner flipped and had me take it down - he wound up refunding our check.
