LV bags and repairs
My husband stopped into an LV store because we noticed that the piping along the bottom of my bag has a rip. They said that if it is wear & tear, they will charge for the repair. What are the fees like? How often do they find that it is or is not wear and tear. I'm honestly not sure what caused this. I have not left my bag for repair yet. How long will it take?

Generally the repair is sent out of state/country (sometimes) and it can take anywhere from 6-8 weeks (sometimes a little shorter, and sometimes a little longer).
I've had the piping repaired on my speedy 30, and it was no more than $125 (I had some other minor fixes too) and it took exactly one month and three days.

My Neverfull is currently in for repair, one of the side leather straps got caught on something and ripped. They are charging me $115 for the repair (basically just replacing a foot and a half, half inch wide piece of leather). They told me 4-6 weeks for the repair, but that they were currently receiving items back on the shorter side of that. They just called me yesterday (just short of the 4 week mark) to let me know it's ready to be picked up.

The piping on my Speedy started to tear on the corners. I took it to the RF store and they sent it out. Since I didn't have it that long (I forget what the time frame was) they repaired it for free.
Took about two weeks.

I know this is an old post but do I need a receipt if I wanted to bring my speedy in and get the bottom corner of the bag fixed?

oops...No I did not need a receipt. They were able to look up the purchase (they log every purchase so you need to know who purchased it and which location).
