Borrowing Breast Pumps

I've had two offers for breast pumps from friends so i don't have to buy one - what new parts do I need to buy, if any, like tubes, etc, and where would get those? Or can I just sterilize what they have and use the original parts?

I ordered new tubing and the breast flanges from amazon.com. I got the one piece flanges so they came with the membranes and the piece the membrane attaches to...I don't remember the name.

Do you have the pump yet? My gf had the manual with hers so I could look up the part numbers.

You will need tubing, shields, valves and membranes and the bottles to put the milk in. You can get everything except for the tubing at BRU and BBB. The tubing you can order from Medela or get on Amazon.

Re: Borrowing Breast Pumps

My friend gave me her old Medela pump and I bought replacement parts for it. I ordered online from here It cost me around $50 and it was a kit that included the breastshields, the tubes, bottles, etc. I would buy replacement parts just for peace of mind. HTH!

Awesome, thanks for the info! Both have the Mendela Pump in Style to give me. Thinking of keeping one at work and one at home. Did anyone else do this?

This is a great idea...that way you only need to bring a cooler with milk and/or pump parts back and forth to work.
I thought I was a genius because I had extra power adapters...Chat Icon
