Stony Brook parking
I know you have to pay for parking at SB. My sister delivered there last year and I vaguely remember hearing that if you get the valet it is cheaper. Does anyone know anything about this? My friend is a nurse there and I think that's what she said. I can't imagine paying $10 a day like the website says...who knows how long I'll be there.

We'll definitely be going with valet. It's $6 a day while the self parking is $2 an hour.

I would valet if you are going to be there a while. I went for the tour the other day and was there about 1 hr and 10 minutes maybe and had to pay the full $4

I wound up being there for a week with DD. DH remembers being able to buy a week pass for $30.

You can buy a 30 day pass for 30 bucks. Come and go as many times as you want during the day.
Don't know when you are going but I found it next to impossible to park in the garage. Keep going to the outdoor lot. It was easier to find a space to park.

This is what we did. It worked out great. DH came and went as he pleased. He never had trouble finding a spot in the garage. You can even buy it before you are going to be admitted- it is 30 days from when it is purchased. We bought it the day before I was being admitted for a C/S.
