Washing Machine Lint?
Seems my clothes are going in dirty and coming out dirtier...lots of what seems like lint? Should I run the washer empty to try to clean it out? Any suggestions? Thanks!

is it a front loader?
if yes, there is a filter that needs to be cleaned out at the bottom.

if its not a front loader.. there may still be a lint trap..
Lint screens are typically located in the center tube of the agitator, near the top of the tub or near the drainage hose on the back of the washer. Some models have lint screens on the bottom front of the washer's metal casing.
