Low Fluid
So at my appointment today I had my weekly bpp and my fluid is a little low. I have to go back on thursday to re-check it but dr. said if it hasn't gone back up we'll be delivering. It just keeps getting closer and closer!
And of course my dog is sick right now, I have an appointment to bring her to the vet at 6:15 tonight, so now I'm freaking out that she will need me and I'll be in the hospital Please send good vibes that everything works out!

Re: Low Fluid
my ob said my fluid's been low for 2 wks now. i'm going for a check tonight too. but as long as it doesn't fall below 5cm and you still feel baby kicking, it should be ok -- just need to monitor more often. that's what my ob told me....
hope your dog is ok!!!

Re: Low Fluid
I had low fluid with ds. I was told a few times if I couldn't get it up they would try iv fluids and if that didn't work induce. I was always able to get my fluid up by drinking a lot of water (at least a gallon a day) and sitting with my feet up as much as possible. I put a cardboard box under my desk at work so I could put my feet up. Ds was born at exactly 38 weeks.

Re: Low Fluid
I had low fluid with DS. I was told at my appt on a tues and my water broke that night.
I think I was the rare case cause everyone else I know who had low fluid just had to drink more and were fine.

Re: Low Fluid
im sure you read my reply on your other post... id be willing to bet that low fluid is linked to the "lower than expected" fetal weight. and i can all but guarantee you that it's related to high BP and early signs of pre-eclampsia. however, you are far enough along that if you have pre-e you will deliver your baby, and that will be that. there's no good to become of keeping you pregnant once all the warning signs are there. and over 5lbs as long as there are no unforseen complications, your baby will be perfect.

Re: Low Fluid
Thank you everyone, for the support and well wishes. My dog Shelby is at the vet and will be undergoing emergency surgery tomorrow. I am a wreck, she's 16 and has never been away from home. The vet says she won't be home until at least Saturday. Just trying to keep calm for the baby and take one day at a time.

Re: Low Fluid
When I was pregnant w/ the boys, G. had low fluid. I went for sonos 2x a week and they kept track of it. After about 2 weeks, the fluid got too low and they admitted me that day. I did not have high blood pressure or pre-e. I delivered at 36 weeks and he was 4lbs, 7oz (but was a twin). He did not need to go to the NICU and was completely healthy! Hope everything works out!
