Not sure if anyone saw this blog post on NYT about a woman returning to work and her plight in finding a place to pump.

Are there any laws about companies (maybe of a certain size?) having to provide private space for pumping? My office is completely open and all of the conf rooms are all glass...

Crashing... I actually just sent a copy of this to a friend that just had the baby. In NY, it's legally required for them to provide you with a space.

Great article! With my first child, I pumped in bathroom stalls, storage closets, airplane bathrooms, etc. I'm hoping to find better solutions with #2 but am not confident I will. This is helping me get into gear and reminding me of the pumping challenges!

sounds like our office!

We were so overcrowded and there is just no PLACE to pump.

One mom handpumped in the bathroom.

Another mom has an office but we have clear windows too so she blocked them with papers. All she needed to do was lock her door.

Others without offices had to use our storage room for files which is FREEZING in the winter. Imagine pumping between file cabinets surrounded by paper

That room had to be coordinated as well since two moms were pumping at the same time and they also had to put a sign up.

Now it's a tad better since we have less people. There is one "office" that is the size of a closet that moms have been using. At least there is a table and chair in there.
