Can you seal off the jets in a jacuzzi bathtub?

The tub doesn't work and now it seems that one of the jets is leaking. We can use the shower but not the tub. It leaks every time we fill it over the jets. We had a plumber look at it and he tried to fix it, but it is a factory problem and the warranty has long expired. Is there a way to seal off the jets? We need the tub to bathe our 2 year old in..

Do you know which jet it is, and where the leak is? Depending on the leak, I would either try to caulk it, or fiberglass over the entire jet. I've done some fiberglass repairs on cars, but it would be a similar concept for a tub. As long as you prep the surface, and use a couple of layers, you could completely cover the jet(s), and they wouldn't leak anymore. Fiberglass is used to make entire tubs (my whirlpool tub is fiberglass).
