Review of a Jamaica AI :-)
DH and i just got back from a long weekend trip (4 nights) to Jamaica, and had the best time! Wanted to share, incase anybody is looking for ideas
WE stayed The Jewel Dunn's River Beach in Ocho Rios. it came upon a search on expedia. at first, i was kind of unsure, because i had never heard of it (only ever hear of BEaches, SAndals, Couples, RIU). BUT i checked tons of reviews on trip advisor, and it got such good reviews all around, that I figured it was worth a shot.
we had a GREAT time!! its a smaller resort, which was nice because it wasn't over crowded, you could always find a chair on the beach or pool, it wasn'ta trek to get anywhere on the resort.
food was great- they had a buffet, plus other restaurants ( a hibahci place, an italian place, and a steak house type place- all were great for dinner. They had a little brick oven pizza place that made awesome personal sized pizzas for lunch or dinner... and a grill with amazing jerk chicken wraps and burgers. everything we ate was great! one night, they did "dinner on the pier" for the whole resort one night- a beautiful 5 course dinner outside under the starts, almost like a wedding
the entertainment was great- they had a beach bonfire one night with smores, a a fire dancer and snake charmer), an incredible steel drum band one night...
the staff at the resort were the nicest people I've ever met. it was always "what can iget you, my lady?" "no worries- we got it!" one guy even climbed up a tree and got us a coconut so we could drink fresh coconut milk!!
its definitely worth looking into, if you're looking for an adults only, relaxing vacay

I looked into this resort for our spring vacation! It looks amazing! We ended up not booking jamaica for this year, but it is on top of our list for next year if we get to go away again.

The snake charmer would have had be running back to my room! I'm so afraid of them!!

Really, that is great to hear! I was just looking into a vacation to Jamaica and that was one of the resorts. Do you have any pics of the resort you can share?

I love Jamaica. So amazing.
we've been a bunch of times and most recently stayed at Whitehouse.
Would love to go back.
We are 7 times returing sandals guests. 3 more trips and we get a week free!

WOW. hat souns so nice! Jewel resorts keep shopwing up on Living Social, etc but I'm so nervous to try something new
