sharp pain

I had an onset of sharp pain on my left side under my ribs... Its high it not in my lower abdomen at all... Ive been having it for over 2 hours when i move... When im standing up its there... When im lying down it goes away... Ive also been experiencing indigestion, dont know if its related but figured id mention it...

The pain under my ribs is really painful and when i initially lay down i feel it radiate a bit but then i feel better. As soon as i get up its killing me again... Its like i cant move it knocks the wind outta me... It almost feels like a severe case of gas pain but im starting to get a lil nervous. Should i call my ob? Should i be worried?

Has anyone else experienced this?

Like a stitch you get in your side when you run? Could be dehydration. Drink water!

Sounds like it could be your gallbladder. I discovered that I have gallstones this pregnancy. My PCP and midwife both said that stones are very common in pregnant ladies and those who recently gave birth and I qualify for both. What other symptoms do you have?

That was it. Last night it was a sharp pains high up near my left side ribs and this morning I woke up and I feel pressure or cramping... But it feels like gas pressure almost... Sometimes it almost feels like the pressure is back there and not in my belly but then ill feel it in my lower belly... Not really pain just discomfort...

I have an appt tomorrow with my dr but im wondering if i should just call her service???

With my gallbladder I have pains in my upper rib on the left side, sort of like you said, a gas bubble. I have heartburn and indigestion really bad when something triggers it. Did you eat something really fatty or really greasy? If it is your gallbladder, they will probably just take a sono of it to confirm then tell you not to eat greasy or fatty foods then that's it. The pain gets really bad when I have an attack and radiates in my back. This sort of sounds like what you are going through. They will probably send you to your PCP to have them take a sono of your gallbladder.
