Facial peels

the ones that actually make you shed but get rid of dark spots and freckles.

Any experiences? I'm thinking about doing it.

I just had a micro derm facial this morning and were were talking about it.

Re: Facial peels

I am in the process of them now. I am getting 6 peels done and had my 3rd last week. I definitely see an improvement. My skin is much more even-toned and my pores are smaller.

This is actually the perfect time of year for a peel: no sun!

Re: Facial peels

micro derms were awful for me.
my skin was smooth but made my rosacea and senstivity go offffff the charts. sigh.

Re: Facial peels

Went to a different technician. Now waiting for a call back. I was literally scratching my face.

Today is better but I moisturized the heck out of my face. I bet it was a little too harsh for my face.

Rethinking the peels.

Re: Facial peels

Spoke to the esthetician. (sp)

I bought some vitamin A and C serum and used it right away. She told me to stop for a few days since there were layers or stuff taken off my face it could be a little strong.

Today it's much better.

My pores are bigger because she cleaned them. eewwwww......

I had my first heavy-duty one in December. I majorly peeled for 5 days....my skin looked good, but the peeling is such a pita and takes major planning to fit it into your life as you really don't want anyone to see you...

Do you get them in a dermatologists' office or at a spa (with an esthetician)? My husband has acne scars and would like to try a few sessions.
