Hemorroids
So, I have hemorroids  Aside from witch hazel and prep H what are other things I can do to make them shrink or ease the pain while I use the bathroom? TIA

My doctor gave me a list of meds that are safe to take for hemorrhoids: Tucks, Colace, Anusol Suppositories

Get a Sitz bath! I just got one today because they were getting very bad and my dr. warned me that they will likely get worse after labor  . She also said that while prep h is great for pain relief, it doesn't really help with shrinking the tissue. The baths should help though. I tried it today and definitely felt relief right away. Hth!

I would also suggest taking colace as it helps make it easier for you to have a BM. Might take a few days to work but keep taking them and it will help.

I totally second this!! I bought one after I gave birth to my first because my hemmorhoids were so bad and I had a lot of pain from tearing and an episiotomy. That sitz bath was amazing! Instant relief!

What is a sitz bath?
Its a basin you put on the toilet seat and you fill it with warm water. You can also use salts and herbs if need be. You then sit in the water for 15-20 mins a day and it helps relieves the swelling. I had a hard time finding one in the stores but I ordered it off of amazon for $10 and had it within a few days.

The only thing that works for me was anusol.....but you need a prescription ...they are gonna so fast ..
