PLEASE HELP! I can't stop crying
I am in my the beginning of my sixth month and I have been crying uncontrollably for the last 3 days. The thing is I can't pinpoint any one thing that is causing it. I called my doctor hoping that he would tell me that it is normal. He asked me if I was worried about anything. This is my first child but I don't feel like I am fixating on being a new mom. Anyway, he said crying like this is not normal which made me feel even worse. Now I am worried about the crying not stopping or it turning into something like a depression. I have my glucose appointment on Monday and I am going to talk to the doctor in person after they take the blood.
HELP. A little advice would really help soothe my mind.

I would think it's just your hormones going through an adjustment. I definitely have my days where I am in tears over pretty much nothing. I hope you feel better soon and that your doctor can put you at ease when you meet with them. In the meantime, make your husband take good care of you!

Re: PLEASE HELP! I can't stop crying
I am not nearly as far along as you but I can imagine being in this situation at some point...I don't think there's anything wrong with crying as long as you feel OK physically and mentally (the fact you're wondering what's causing it sounds like you do)...I'm sure it's just a combination of hormones and overwhelming feelings about all of the new changes... hope you feel better soon!

I agree with the other girls - crying is ok as long as you're not feeling depressed.
I have a feeling i'll be in your exact same boat soon enough.

More women need to be open I think about this. I am so sick of hearing how this is the greatest time of my life. My emotions are messed up! I cry lots, I am monitored like crazy and understand your feelings.

Yes, I agree with this completely! I feel like I understand my *normal* emotions pretty darn well. I know what my limits are, I know what my downfalls are, I know when I'm getting a little carried away or acting a little crazy. But there have been times during this pregnancy when I think to myself "Where the he!! did that cry just come from?!?" and I really can't even pinpoint it.
Pregnancy is an emotional rollercoaster and it isn't always this blissful feeling. A lot of time there is anxiety, fear, uncontrollable crying and everything else mixed in.
Hang in there. The good thing is that we are only pregnant for 40 weeks, then we go back to our regular womanly craziness!
Sending big hugs your way

Re: PLEASE HELP! I can't stop crying
At about 16 weeks I def had bouts of crying... My emotions felt on edge... Besides the normal crying watching cheesy commercials or tv shows, which just isnt like me... I would cry for the smalles things... For me something would trigger me, for example a small argument with my husband made me feel like the worst thing in the world just happened and I would cry hysterically. Meanwhile we argued over whose doing the dishes LOL Now I look back and laugh at myself but in the moment it felt like my whole world was collapsing in on me... And I would honestly just lay in bed ALL DAY and cry... If I got an anxious feeling but didnt know why OMG those days were the worst... It ended up passing on its own and I feel much better...
I think crying is normal... I think it could just be hormonal or maybe on some subconcious level there is something on your mind, you just arent ready to face it yet... But if you really think about it you may be able to put your finger on it...
Try meditating I find that calms me down soooooo much...

I could have wrote this post too. Thanks ladies. I am having a better day today. Wednesday -Friday was pretty rough. I have 13 more weeks to go.
I don't understand when I hear women say they loved being pregnant. Yes, it is an excting time, but the changes to your body, the feeling of being uncomfortable and overweight, and these darn hormones and emotions are not exactly making it fun! I just have to keep my eye on the prize. I will soon have my beautiful baby boy in my arms.
Then, I'm sure a whole other emotion takes over us.
