What polish do you use that doesn't chip?
I do at home mani's. I will admit that I bit my nails the past few months and I am growing them back out. I am finding that my mani's are only lasting a few hours before they chip!!!
So frustrating. I use, Essie, butter, sally hansen, ulta, zoya pretty much everything.
currently as a base coat I use Sally Hansen Miracle Cure and as a top coat I use Sally Hansen Acrylic No Chip.

Try those sally Hansen salon effects. They are the polish strips. So easy to put on and last 2 weeks . No chips at all.

I use Essie polishes a lot of the time, but I really do like Brucci! They are about $2.99 and I have to say that it last the longest.

Re: What polish do you use that doesn't chip?
Its all about base coats and top coats. My tips are on clear nails swab nails with rubbing alcohol to remove any oils. I use orly bonder base ( a rubberized base coat. Then what ever color I want. Then wait 2 minuytes and aplly one thick coat or seche vite fast dry top coat. Anddddddddd ladies I do hair and my nails are always being washed and this is thje best combo ever!! Once in a while I get chips but ususally takes days now! Oh another tip is two days into thje new mani I apply another layer of the topcoat. Have fun!

I have read some pretty scary stuff about Seche Vite. It contains some chemical that can cause birth defects. I am not pregnant but, I don't know how the stuff works (as in: does it stay in my system and it could cause problems later?) It can come from inhalation or absorbtion through the skin or nails.
HEre is what i found.
" Due to escalating public and media pressure, three major nail brands are removing DBP from their US polish formulations. OPI, Orly and Sally Hansen have all acknowledged the move following criticism from health groups and consumers that the chemical is dangerous. This is due to a backlash from reports that concluded the substance links to birth defects among other health issues. Polish formulations in the UK however conform to EU regulations. Here DBP is banned, and so up to now all three companies have been manufacturing different formulations for the UK market. DBP is said to be an endocrine disrupter linked to underdeveloped reproductive systems in newborn boys. The chemical has also been associated with accelerated puberty in girls - a factor that might also be linked to breast cancer."
Has anyone else heard this? What do you think?

Re: What polish do you use that doesn't chip?
Imo the topcoat I use can't be absorbed into myskin or through the nailbed because I am putting in on over 3 coats of polish. I do hair and work arounf some crazy chemiclas and the truth is its repeated prolonged use that is the problem. If I was a nail tech using these things all day and inhaling I woulkd have a problem. Otherwise 5 minutes with windows open doesntg worry me. Most things we need lots of ventilation for that helps! Xo

Re: What polish do you use that doesn't chip?
i've tried everything, i don't know if its just me or what but i tried those nail strips and i get maybe, MAYBE 4 or 5 days without chips, which still a lot but not the 10 days they claim to last. i try all sorts of base coats and top coats and nothing lasts for more then 2 days
