Vacuums - New or Older model?
I LOVE the vacuum we have but the foot release broke about a month or so ago so we need a new one. We've had it for many years now. It's a Eureka Boss something or other. It's red!  My IL's got us a very expensive one 8 years ago and it was terrible at picking up dog hair and kept breaking so that's why we got the Eureka. It's wonderful! It was top rated when we first bought it. Now, I could go online and buy the same exact one though they don't make it anymore or I can buy the newer model? I've seen the reviews on the new one, but is it going to be as good as the one I have? Which one would you go with?

I'd stick with the same brand but the newer model
I'd avoid the discontinued one just because I'm not sure how much support or parts you could get for it if it were to break.

try a new one. if it stinks you can return it and think about another new one. i would read reviews, you make find another Eureka you like or you may want to try something else. I like my Shark Navigator.
