Cashless tolls - Orlando?

Do I need to rent a cashless toll device when I'm in Orlando? We're renting a car and staying at a timeshare off Disney property.

You don't need to. They have a toll booth.

Our Avis car was equipped with a SunPass, but we paid at the toll both instead of going thru the speed lane because Avis charges a daily use fee ON TOP of the actual toll.

Did the same in Tampa too.

Thanks - we went 2 years ago and they had toll booths but, I wasn't sure if they were still there since Florida is going 100% cashless... There was a $7 a day fee to rent the SunPass from Dollar so I wanted to try to avoid it.

Just a warning - not sure if it has changed but it used to be that you had to have a pass or change only - the booths weren't manned so if you didn't have change you were in trouble.

I had this problem 3 years ago. Didn't have exact change for the toll so i had to just go through it. I had a rental car so the pass just covered the toll. BUT i ended up getting hit with the $7 rental usage fee for a $.50 toll!! I advise making sure you have a bunch of quarters to cover the tolls. After a bunch of .$50 and $.75 tolls we ran out of change! No booth attendant to break bills for us.

When we were in Orlando last July we drove the B-Line to Daytona and they had Toll Booths that accepted cash and coins.

Thanks - I will make sure I have change with me.

I really wish EZ Pass was a nationwide system - that would make things a lot easier (and cheaper).
