How to safely clean a baby toy?

I have purchased a few used fun items for the twins - gently used.

What is the best way to clean them?

Anything fabric comes off, so I washed those parts inthe machine- but what about the plastic parts?

Hot water and soap? Lysol? Organic soap?

Just want to make sure they are safe for the babies when they put their mouths on it.

I know babyganics makes some type of cleaner for baby toys and highchairs and stuff... BRU has it... And they are always on sale buy 1 get 1 free. I havent used that, but I use all their cleaning products for the house and love them!

I use clorox wipes to get all the germs off. Then use a baby wipe to leave whatever potential residue the clorox wipes left on it - but ONLY on items that the baby could put his/her mouth on (not on like the legs of bouncers, jumperoos etc - those I just wipe down with the clorox wipes).

I also use clorox wipes when DS' friend comes over and is sick (thanks for not mentioning it, friend's mom! lol).

White vinegar is a great natural sanitizer. I mix a little with hot water and and a tiny bit of dawn if somethings really dirty.
