Window Tint on Sliders

Hello! So I am kicking myself for not getting blinds built into my sliders b/c my contractor didnt recommend it!

Anyway, now I need some privacy and I really do not like the look of a large curtain or verticals on sliders.

Is it possible to buy some sort of window film that is clear that would allow us to see out but no one can see in?

I am at a loss on what to do. A large curtain will ruin the look of my room.

Help!

Home Depot has window film, but I think most of it is to block or diffuse light in both directions.
Car window tint (from Aid Auto or PepBoys) would work, too. If you got a mirrored tint, it would definitely block people from looking in, but you could still look out.

Sears sells a mirrored film product.

You can google "one way window film" and get a ton of hits.

Thanks! I am a little Nervous about using film. Will it bubble up and look nasty? What about when it needs to be replaced? Will it leave sticky stuff on the glass? I hope not!!!

Millions of cars have tinted windows. As long as it's done properly (which is easy to do), it won't bubble, and any sticky residue will come off pretty easily. The only time car tint really looks bad is when it's over the defroster wires on the back window, which heats the film, or when the edges of the side windows starts to peel because it's rubbing against the frame of the door.

I have frosted film on my front doors, and DC's bathroom window. 3 years old, and looks brand new.

we window privacy film - lace in dds room and in the kitchen. it was easy to put up and they give you a little tool that helps smooth out any bubbles/air.
