Niagara Falls
DH and I are planning to go to Niagara Falls for a few days in June... Is it better to go to the Canada side or the NY side? Also, do you have any hotel/restaurant recommendations? Or anything else fun besides the obvious things? TIA!

Re: Niagara Falls
I've never been there, but I've heard the Canadian side is better.
Hope someone else can help!
Are you driving up?

Re: Niagara Falls
Yes, we're driving up. I've been researching the last few days and it does seem that the Canadian side has more to offer - just figured I'd post here too and see if anyone has input! Thanks!

Re: Niagara Falls
The Canadian side definitely has a lot more to offer and definitely some stunning views.
I have been there in nice weather and recently, in January.
I would suggest definitely doing the Maid of the Mist, Journey Behind the Falls, the Butterfly Conservatory.
In the nicer weather, we did the Whirpool Jet Boat tour. It's a boat ride into the whirpool (down a ways from the falls) and you get soaked. It's pretty amazing.
Plus on the New York side, defintely check out Niagara Falls State Park. Also there is the Cave of the Winds tour from Goat Island which is where you get an up close view of the falls from the NY side.
We stayed at the Hilton Fallsview with a view of the falls. The sunrise was just an amazing view from our room.
Have fun! It's definitely a beautiful place to visit.

Re: Niagara Falls
The falls face that canada side, so I think you have a better view of them from that side.
Niagara is the land of amusements - it's kind of ridiculous. Every kind of Ripleys Believe it or Not, Arcade, Fun House, etc. It is crazy.
We didn't end up doing this but we had planned on eating at the Keg steakhouse - its supposed to be pretty good.
They have a million chain restaurants and stuff right around the falls.
I heard there are some wineries at Niagara on the Lake - a small town not that far away. If you drive up through buffalo, stop for some wings!

Re: Niagara Falls
We stayed on the Canadian side and were really happy with our decision. The view of the falls is better and there are several nice attractions.
