Will this mattress fit my crib?

Im a little confused on how to choose a mattress that will fit my crib. Does the mattress have to be the exact dimensions of the crib?

The crib Im getting measures

56.5Lx30W

The matress Im thinking about getting measures:

52 in. L x 27.5 in. W

Would that be a good fit?

What I did was to literally go to bru, pick up the mattress we were interested in and bring it over to the crib we bought and test it out. I have no idea otherwise. You could prob google up an answer

I was just looking into this yesterday since we picked up the mattress today. The crib manual listed the size the mattress should be. I would see if you can find that info online or wait till your crib is in to see what it says.

BTW, in the end I just went to BRU and picked out a mattress hoping it would fit. I think they are pretty standard. Thankfully it was a nice tight fit like it should be!

The crib we got from bru didn't fit all mattresses perfectly. While they would work you want the mattress to be perfectly snug. I ended up reading reviews on the bru site of the crib we got and someone posted which mattress worked (after buying a couple), we ordered it from amazon.

Thanks everyone! I didnt get my crib from BRU, I ordered it online from a different store and it should be coming Monday. I guess I'll keep looking for a different mattress that fits better.
