made a consult for IVF
So I totally I went in to begin a new cycle (IUI #6) and also made a consult for IVF.
I was kind of annoyed...the doctor didn't have any openings until March 26th!! So if this cycle doesn't work, it will probably be finished with well before March 26. So now I feel like I'm going to miss out on an entire cycle just because we don't have the consult for over a month now.
Is this normal?? After I get AF this cycle (which will be before March 26th I'm assuming) am I going to have to wait an entire natural cycle before even starting IVF? My natural cycles could be 3 months!!
I'm afraid I'll be losing more time.

Hopefully they wouldnt just wait for it to come, most likely they will give you Provera to bring on a period. Good luck Col!

Agree. Does BCP help regulate your cycles? It might be an option, being that you might have to be on it before stims. Good luck

Agree. Does BCP help regulate your cycles? It might be an option, being that you might have to be on it before stims. Good luck

LI IVF will make you do a water sono before starting ivf, I think it should be done CD7-8ish and they won't let you do it if you're doing an iui. Also think they require to meet with a social worker or take some sort of a class before. So many you can use the natural cycle to complete all the tasks?
Also I think it is nice to take a small break from the meds before starting ivf, but I know it's frustrating anyway.
Or can you call and insist on an earlier appt and explain your timing situation to them?

Thank you for your responses! I am going back on Feb 25th for monitoring for this cycle. I will ask then what they will do. BCP does regulate my cycle so maybe they will put me on that until then.
