no congrats..
Did you ever find that people you thought would congratulate you or be excited for you with news that you were expecting, never said anything? We let family members know a few weeks ago about our news, and I posted something on FB recently, and there are still a few family members who have not said anything to me (like my SIL for example). Not sure if i'm just feeling offended for no reason. Did anyone else have this experience?

Yes, unfortunately. I had very close family never congratulate or even acknowledge the news. I just write it off that they are socially strange.

I didnt make an announcement on FB but when we told two of our closets friends, who are married, they were happy for us but not very excited. It stung a bit but we quickly realized that they love us but are living their own lives w/their own issues.

Is Facebook the only way your SIL found out?
I meant if you tell someone that you are pregnant to their face or over the phone and they don't say congrats that's pretty messed up.
But if you announce to your family and close friends on Facebook I can imagine them being hurt or offended and choosing not to say congrats.
It happened to us, good friends of ours didn't tell us they were pregnant and we found out when she was 5 months along on Facebook.

Ohhhh I see what you mean.
Have you seen her in person since then? Are you guys usually close? Also, do they have (or want) kids?
There are just soooo many possible reasons why she hasn't said congrats yet. I totally get that you might be feeling hurt but unless she is known for being rude or insensitive, I'd give her the benefit of the doubt

Yes two of my brothers, my brother & sil and my other brother, his girlfriend ~ I am still in shock that out of the 4 of them no one has said congratulations! It is very hurtful to me
