hi girls! Congrats Kim, Shelley, MathWife, Autumn (and anyone else i'm forgetting)! good luck tomorrow larasmommy!
i saw the doc Fri when i was 38w2d & she said i'm 75% effaced 1.5 cm dilated...the internal hurt so bad, i wasn't nervous about the exam at all b/c i was checked twice for dilation around week 30 (once by a nurse in L&D and once by the high risk dr) and i guess they are a lot more gentle when they are checking you that early because the internal my OB did was absolutely horrible! i was caught really off guard, my husband had to remind me to breathe! i don't know how i'm supposed to give birth now if an exam hurt that much  honestly!  and i want to at least try to go drug free and after that exam i'm like WTH am i thinking
so i'm still waiting...i've been losing my plug since 37 weeks and have had episodes of cramping but no labor yet...i've been walking, having sex hoping to get things going but no luck yet! i know 75% effaced is good but i know you can also stay that way for quite some time with nothing...but hopefully soon! i'm in pain and i gained over 40lbs at this point and i'm ready to get the show on the road, so send me some labor vibes!

Good Luck on the waiting.....The internals are really all about who does it. My first in the hospital was horrible but a shortly after my Dr got to the hospital and did one and he was sooooo gentle.
So just breathe through the entire process. And remember during labor you get drugs if you want them and it will help to get through it!!!

Hang in there Nik  I gained about 40 lbs too so uncomfortable . I hope your lil baby makes an apperance really soon. And drug free birth?? are you insane  (totally kidding LOL) there have been girls on here that went drug free and I am convinced they are Supergirl hahahahah have no clue how they did it but God bless them I have so much respect for them. Those contractions....so not fun. Im sending labor vibes your way

the keyword there is "try" which i will try but i might cave and i'm ok with that, i figure whatever happens, happens! i just think if i can do without drugs it would be awesome and more natural but i'm not trying to be a hero i'm just hoping she comes out before my due date, or at least around my due date and i don't end up with an induction a week after, i feel like at that point i rather have a c-section b/c i think this kid is going to be big and i'm scared! 
lots of luck tomorrow! i'm so jealous! i can't wait to meet my LO!! i bet you are so excited!!!

I was 70% and fingertip at 38 wks and 80% and 1-2cm at 39 wks. Also been losing my plug since about 37 wks. Doesn't it smell?!
Now tomorrow at 40w3d I will be induced!! Lots of luck and labor vibes for you!!
