might be a silly q, about re-financing
i just had a question about refinancing... do you need to hire a lawyer again even if you are going through your same bank?

No, you don't. It's a purely monetary transaction, not a real estate transaction, so you don't need an attorney.

ok i was just confused because when i called the bank up to inquire about refinancing she said she added on about 5-6k in closing costs when quoting me which includes title and attorney fees...

I spoke with a bank recently about re-fi, and asked this explicitly, and they said you definitely don't need one. There are lots of fees for title search, appraisals, etc, etc.
