Broker vs Licensed Salesperson

What is the difference between the two?

I notice on a lot of realtor cards some same Real Estate Broker and some say Licensed Real Estate Salesperson.

Re: Broker vs Licensed Salesperson

the broker owns the office

the salesperson works for them

or you can be an associate broker- a broker working under another broker

brokers generally don't sell houses- or they shouldn't if they have a good office

it's rare my broker takes a listing

but agents are sometimes called "brokers" but techincally the right term is lic sales person
