went for a water sono w/a Ques..
So I am on my 2nd week of BCP for my first IVF cycle & needed to get a water sono done w/Dr Brenner as part of the checklist.
Water sono was quick & painless but he saw a cyst & now wants me to make an appt with Sonoscan to get a closer look at it.
Now I am freaking out that my IVF cycle might be cancelled?!
Has anyone had anything similar to this?
Do you think my cycle may get cancelled?

Hmm, my first IVF cycle was cancelled because of a large cyst on my right ovary, which we had removed. But when it came back, my RE decided that he will not operate and we will move foward with IVF. I think it depends on where it is and how big it is. Did he say where exactly the cyst is?

Honstly Rosa- I was so surprised that he was sending me somewhere else for another look that I didnt ask 
He mentioned something like he wanted to make sure it didnt have blood in it?

Oh I see. Well hopefully the other location will give you better answers. But like I said it went both ways for me. I hope you don't ahve to cancel, being that you have been waiting a long time get started.

I hope I dont have to cancel either. I am currently on BCP so I am hoping whatever it is will shrink by the time I go in to get the sono next week

I had two IVF cycles cancelled because of cyst while on the pill...I am hoping for your sake that it doesn't go that way!

This happened to me right before my first IVF cycle. I went in for the baseline and I had a big cyst. Dr said we couldn't start with this cyst bc it was large (maybe 5 cm) and it looked like it had a blood clot in it. I had to go to a radiologist for another look and my RE put me on BC pills for a month which shrank it. So I was delayed one month- but you are already on the Pill so maybe it will shrink and be gone before your baseline to start stims!!

I believe thats one of the reasons RE's put us on BCP.. it does helpt o shink/eliminate some cysts.. hopefully it goes away!

Thanks ladiesl, as of we dont worry enough now I have to to worry about a damn cyst.
