What would you do?(Dr. related)

My ob/gyn told me to come back on this coming monday. The people at the desk said I was on a waiting list and that they would call me today(friday) to tell me what time for Monday. I called them on Wednesday and they said again we will call you Friday. Well I know their office closed at 4pm and I didnt get a call. I called them and the office answering service said they are closed. I do not have an appt now. I am a little angry cause this is a new dr. for me and i really dont know how their office runs but doesnt this seem like they dont have things together?

Okay now is the office generally closed on a Friday? I only ask because this has happened to me in the past and I got a call around 7pm (a time that i had no clue someone would even be in the office). But if they truly are closed and they are not open on the weekends I would be really angry. I would call on Monday and explain the situation and ask to be squeezed in. Good luck

They are open every friday until 4pm and not open on the weekends

that's so annoying, maybe they'll still call you, sometimes they call back after hours.
Otherwise I would try and call very early on Monday and see what they can do.
I was also going to set up an appt later today , for next week. was told to call later and I called just now and it says they closed at 4 . I'm annoyed, but will call on Monday very early, they are in at 8am. So I know how you feel.

I agree with the other posters. I'd probably be heated as all heck, but I'd call 1st thing on Monday

I would be upset that no one called me, but if this is the first time this has ever happened I wouldnt change Drs over it...

I would def say call Monday and explain how upset you are, if necessary speak with the office manager... I would also say they may have someone call after hours...

Did you know before today that they close at 4 or did you call them after 4 and find this out?

CHANGE DOCTORS! You said new Ob but unsure if this is the first visit but if it this is definitely not a good sign....and WHAT a waiting list for a call back what is that!! Run..........

ITA with PP. Its a new doc and I would probably not want to go there after that. I don't want a doctors office that can't even get me in for an appointment!
