Get a pediatrician is a definate.
I dont know if you meant register for daycare instead of preschool. But if you meant daycare than yes it is never too soon to start researching.
a christening date and place can wait till after the baby is born. Most dont christen until around 3 or 4 months so you have time for this as well.

Re: before the baby is born???
Then only one of those things you really have to do before baby is born is find a ped. Some people book the christening but some churches actually won't give a date until the baby is born so it really depends on your church. Definitely don't have to worry about pre-school, that won't be happening for at least another 3 years.

Re: before the baby is born???
You can interview and choose a pediatrician before your baby is born. My DS came really early so we hadn't had a chance to pick one and did it while he was in the hospital based on a recommendation we received. It worked out fine.
We set up his Christening date and location after he was born, but we didn't have it til he was 6 months. If you want to have it fairly soon after birth (say at 4-8 weeks old), you might want to start looking at places and getting the date at the church. Especially if it's during a busy time (May is crazy usually!).

Re: before the baby is born???
I didnt have any of these done since my little guy was early. I called a Ped from the hospital and just had the dr on staff look after DS while in the hospital.
Daycare - DS is almost 6w and I just got a place. Some places will put you on a waiting list. Its easier to get a full time spot than part time
baptism.....you can wait til after they are born....we aren't doing it until DS is 6 or 7 months so I am in no rush
