We have a Eureka - We got it in 2004 for about $150 - it was a wedding shower gift and it still works great.

Dyson Ball DC24 purchased refurbished for half the price. It's a beast of a machine and money well spent. It makes me want to vacuum!

Shark Navigator Liftaway 
I seriously love this vacuum.
I have a very hairy dog and an allergic sister - When she visits I have to make sure the house is dog hair free and the dog has to be contained to one part of the house
She would always have some sort of issue - and need her inhaler no matter how hard I tries. But with this vacuum - it was so easy to get rid of the hair and my sister has absolutely no issues when coming here now.
I Highly recommend it!

After more vacuums than I care to admit, I have finally found the one of my dreams. ORECK. It's so lightweight and has one of the longest lasting vacuum bags I've ever had. The bag is housed in a soft cover so you can get in under most anything and the suction is fabulous.

We have the electrolux oxygen. It's a canister vacuum. It works so good.

I have this one too... i think its ok , really good on carpet, but just eh on the tile and wood floors... I think my previous Kenmore canister did a better job.

I love my Shark Navigator Liftaway. It's so light and has great suction. I've had it for over a year and it still works great!
