Braxton hicks?

I'm only 22 weeks but I get tightening in my belly a lot, like strong cramps for a few minutes here or there during the day. Could this be Braxton hicks this early or is it something to worry about? I go back to my ob next week so I'll bring it up there but just wondering if anyone else experiences this?

I had that at 28 weeks...this is my third but I still was nervous..i called my dr...he said go to the hospital and get checked out...it was not contractions at all..I guess the just explained it as muscle spasms...also they were high up in my belly the spasms...It does feel like tightening ....I'm sure your fine...but obviously call the dr if you feel maybe they are contractions...is this yur first?

yes tightening of the belly is braxton hicks. However you shouldn't be having any cramping along with it. For me, when i had cramping or period cramps along with it... those were real contractions. So if that's the case, you need to get checked out.

Otherwise if it's just your belly getting hard for a few seconds... you'll be fine. I got those early on as well.
