Re: Renting in Bayside or whitestone
The apartments on Clintonvill near the shopping center are 1425 plus utilities to rent. I saw 2 posted on craigslist.com recently if you wanna check it out.

Thanks so much. Is it Clintonvill in bayside or whitestone?. Anyone else with suggestions?
That's Whitestone right near key food. I'd also check the high rises near bay terrace. Probably more pricey.

Re: Renting in Bayside or whitestone
Love this area. Check out this website. This is what I used when I was looking. http://www.carollorentals.com/
I would suggest express bus to get into the city. If you're looking to go in by LIRR try looking for something a little further south (I think... I'm bad w/directions) in Flushing. You can just jump on the Bayside LIRR station.
Good luck! You'll love the area.

Re: Renting in Bayside or whitestone
IMO Bayside is better for commuting.

Re: Renting in Bayside or whitestone
There are a ton of apt buildings right off Bell Blvd. which is where the LIRR is. There's also tons near by in Bay Terrace which is also convenient. 11361 is one of the zips to search by

Re: Renting in Bayside or whitestone
When I was single I lived in the buildings around 191st/Crocheron in Flushing. It's right around the corner from the Auburndale stop. At the time (2004ish), you could definitely find a 1BR for that price, but I don't know how things changed since then...

Thanks so much. Do you know the names of the buildings so I can google them and give them a call? Thanks again
No, I'm sorry, I don't. I'm not sure they even had a name. If you're in the area though, I believe there might be some sort of contact number on the wall--I think on 37th Ave/191st?? If I happen to drive by there, I can take a look as well.

Re: Renting in Bayside or whitestone
Whitestone is not near the LIRR.
If you want easy LIRR access, then you need to look in Bayside, Auburndale or Flushing. Whitestone does have express bus access, and local bus to the 7 train in Flushing.
