I know most people will say perfectly ok  but I am anal about that, so if I wore gold shoes I would mix yellow and white gold jewelry, just to make myself feel better.

I am anal too - I have hot sparkly gold shoes and have no yellow jewelry at all. I don't mind buying some, but my rings are white gold and I don't think I should sacrifice my wedding ring for awesome shoes.... Or should I?

people will say no but I cannot once for the life of me ever recall checking to see if someone's jewelry matched their shoes LOL
I would wear it.
