It depends on when you are going. Try JetBlue and Southwest.

I usually compare prices on Kayak.com and also check JetBlue and Southwest like pp mentioned (since they aren't on Kayak).

Unfortunately you will never find a good deal if you are traveling during Feb. break. Last year we paid $350 a ticket and that was leaving mid-week February break, and coming back mid-week the following week. School vacations make the tickets skyrocket here.

Re: Cheap flights to FL-Where to find them?
Right now the air in general I think is very high. If you are going during a school break it will be higher costs too.
I check out Kayak.com - but I have sometimes found lower by going directly to Southwest or Jet Blue. I recommend checking out Kayak, expedia etc but also check out each individual airline's website. I usually end up booking directly with the airline as I got the best deal after watching and waiting.
Right now I see a lot of people on disboards complaining that airfare is skyhigh (it seems really high right now for end of August). I woud say it will be high too for february esp if it is a school break. But you might be lucky and get a sale.
Maybe Kim can tell us - but I believe the cheapest time to buy tickets is Tuesday night and wed.

Like others said, try Kayak. Also if you book, track your flights on Yapta, especially if you book Jetblue. It checks for price drops!

I read this online too, so I watched an airfare for days, waiting till Wednesday and the fare actually went up by $11! Not a lot, but I was so mad that i waited and waited and then it went up! I just booked it b/c I was afraid it would go up again.
I did look to go to Florida in February and the prices were really high!

We booked our flights a week ago on jet blue for Feb 22nd to Florida and got a great price ($260pp round trip). The days that were $$$ were the Fri and Sat starting the break.
